Dr. Sacheen Garrison
Dentist
Dr. Sacheen Garrison is from Huntington, West Virginia and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1992 from Huntington High School. After high school, she attended Denison University, located in Granville, Ohio, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry in 1996. While at Denison, Dr. Garrison was on the Dean's List, Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges, a Senior Fellow in the Chemistry Department, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Pi Gamma Chapter. She actively participated in student run organizations, volunteered in community service projects, and assisted with scientific research in the Chemistry Department.
In June 2001, Dr. Garrison earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry. While in dental school, she enjoyed focusing on preventive oral care and working with children. One of Dr. Garrison’s highlights in dental school was doing an externship at the Navajo Indian Reservation in Gallup, New Mexico which enabled her to acquire more knowledge in areas such as oral surgery and pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Garrison has worked in dental practices in Columbus, Lancaster, and Westerville, Ohio, providing her with a varied background in handling minor to complex dental cases. With a desire to open her own practice and continue her success of providing quality dental care to patients, Dr. Garrison acquired her practice, Groveport Smiles, in Groveport, Ohio in September 2002. Dr. Garrison’s continual commitment to incorporating new advancements in dental technologies into her practice, has created a positive, welcoming, and comfortable experience for her patients.
Dr. Garrison is licensed by the Ohio State Dental Board to practice dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Columbus Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a member of the National Dental Association (NDA) and is President of the local Chapter of the NDA, the Columbus Association of Dentists. She is a 32-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and is active in Alpha Sigma Omega Chapter. Dr. Garrison enjoys contributing to her community and regularly supports local youth groups and Groveport area events. In her free time, Dr. Garrison enjoys volunteering and doing mission trips in the United States as well as abroad where she uses her skills to improve the dental health of others.
Dr. Garrison stays busy when not doing dentistry and is very involved with her three children: Mya- a graduate student at the University of Miami, Cameron- a Junior at the University of Cincinnati, and Carter, a Freshman at Yale University. She also enjoys reading, volunteering, travelling, and spending time with her family.

Lori
Office Manager
Lori, our office manager, and graduated from Eastland Career Center’s Dental Assisting program in 1986. Since that time, she has obtained valuable experience both as an assistant and as an office manager. Lori has worked as a dental assistant in both a periodontal and general dental office and as a front desk administrator before coming to this practice in 1992.
She is responsible for various aspects of running the office, such as scheduling appointments, handling insurance, and answering patient questions among many other things. Lori’s professional manner and knowledge of the field will make it easy to answer any questions you may have regarding our office and dental treatment.
Melissa, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Melissa, our Registered Dental Hygienist, graduated from Shawnee State University in 1998 with her degree in dental hygiene and is licensed by the Ohio State Dental Board. Melissa enjoys educating her patients about their oral hygiene and the importance of regular visits to the dentist to maintain good oral health.
She is responsible for examining patients' teeth and gums to check for periodontal health, taking x-rays for a thorough evaluation of dental health, and removing hard and soft deposits from the teeth. Melissa also provides specialized periodontal therapy such as root planing, and applying anti-cavity agents such as fluoride and sealants to teeth.
Melissa’s friendly personality and gentle touch will allow you to relax and feel comfortable no matter how long it’s been since your last visit to the dentist.
Lisa, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Lisa, our Registered Dental Hygienist, graduated from Columbus State Community College in 2002 where she earned her degree in Dental Hygiene. Lisa enjoys getting to know her patients and as well as educating them on how to improve and maintain their oral health.
She is responsible for taking necessary x-rays for our doctor to be able to diagnose any areas of concern or rule out any areas of disease. She also takes an assessment of patients bone and gum health to determine what type of cleaning the patient will need and can explain to them the conditions of their teeth and gums by answering any questions they might have.
Lisa truly loves her job and does her best to create a positive experience for patients who may not have had the best experiences in the past.
Lori
Dental Assistant
Lori, our Dental Assistant, attended dental assisting school in 1997. Lori has worked as a dental assistant in both general and orthodontic offices. She became a certified orthodontic assistant in 2009. Lori spends time between the front office and assisting. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and understanding their dental care.
She is responsible for taking x-rays, scans, and assisting the dentist. She also helps the front desk with multiple tasks such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and reviewing treatment plans.
Lori takes pride in providing superior care for our patients.
